Women Leading Protests

Role: Creative Lead, Creative Producer and Director

"Women Leading Protests" for the Friedrich Naumann Foundation tells the stories of four women who were actively involved in the protests in Belarus, Hong Kong, Venezuela and Lebanon.

Their stories are representative of women all over the world who are fighting for democratic change in their own countries. Several of the protagonists describe how they were systematically underestimated by male rulers because of their gender. The four women took advantage of their supposed disadvantage and slowly gained influence among the population. However, as the attention grew, so did the violence that many governments unscrupulously used against the activists.
